Application
KTM 19 has been specially developed for automatic dipping machines suitable for candle diameters of up to 90 mm. According to the intensity of colour required 0,5 - 2 % of pigment colours should be added to the dipping wax. We recommend dipping twice for a smoother, glossier finish.
Characteristics
KTM 19 is a higher viscous overdipping wax (as a longer open time is desired) which imparts a particularly even coating to the candle core. Due to its low penetration candles overdipping with KTM 19 have a good, glossy finish which is firm to the touch. The finish can be further improved by shortening the open time on the dipping machine.
Working Conditions
In order to obtain an optimum gloss the raw candles should be at room temperature before the dipping process commences.
We recommend following dipping conditions:
Temperature of dipping bath: 80 - 85°C
Open time: 4 - 8 sec
Temperature of cooling bath (water): 15 - 18°C
